  • Dec. 30, 2025

The Export Camp on African Markets” was held at Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT), with the aim of familiarizing technology-based and knowledge-based companies with the capacities, requirements, and opportunities for entering African markets. The event was organized by the Economic and Investment Affairs Department of ISTT and was attended by the Chairman of the Iran–Africa Joint Chamber of Commerce as well as the Director of the Iran Trade Center in Tanzania.

The program addressed export-related legal and regulatory frameworks, provided an overview of priority African markets, and examined practical mechanisms for trade development and market entry. Discussions emphasized Africa’s strategic importance as a growing market, considering its demographic scale, expanding demand for goods and services, and need for technology, technical expertise, and industrial solutions.

Participants underscored the importance of institutional support mechanisms, access to reliable market intelligence, and risk mitigation measures to ensure sustainable and effective engagement. High-potential sectors identified for cooperation included mining, agriculture, transnational farming, oil and gas, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, technical and vocational education, and health tourism.

The program further highlighted the necessity of on-the-ground presence, local market understanding, and the integration of technology and knowledge transfer alongside product exports. Export support services such as market research, business matchmaking, company registration, logistics, financial facilitation, tender participation, and technical and engineering services were presented as key enablers for successful market entry.

The event concluded with site visits to ISTT and selected resident companies, showcasing their capabilities and readiness for international collaboration and export development.
